DESCRIPTION:The Women in Materials Science and Engineering (WiMSE) at Georgia Tech invites you to our annual Connect and Dine virtual networking event on April 1\, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. This event aims to serve as a platform for all graduate and undergraduate MSE students to establish a professional relationship with the MSE alumni\, the External Advisory Board members\, and other professionals from both industry and academia. We will have representatives from our industry and national lab partners including Apple\, BASF\, 3M\, Applied Materials\, Solvay\, Sila Nanotechnologies\, Oak Ridge National Lab\, Eastman\, and more! \nThis event will feature speakers on the theme of ‘Stronger Together’\, aligning with our aim to promote a sense of community that will strengthen students’ professional development and positively impact the broader STEM community by working together. Inspired by actress Nichelle Nichols’s quote\, “science is not a boy’s game\, it’s not a girl’s game. It’s everyone’s game. It’s about where we are and where we’re going\,” we aim to promote an inclusive community that celebrates diversity.
